DISCOVER THE LEVEL THAT IS CLOSEST TO YOU

Help does not have one scale or one form. Some projects work in several countries at once and address challenges that affect millions of people. Others focus on issues within a specific state. Still others create noticeable change at the level of a single city, district or community. Each of these levels matters, because kindness exists both in global solutions and in local acts.

Below are different areas of participation, so it is easier for you to understand which format is closer to you: supporting international initiatives, taking part in national programs, or contributing to the development of your city and environment.

International projects often bring together people, organizations and resources from different countries to solve major humanitarian and social challenges. This may include providing communities with clean water, fighting hunger, supporting healthcare and treatment, delivering vital equipment, recovering from natural disasters and military crises, educational programs, child protection, help for refugees, environmental initiatives, scientific and cultural programs, as well as projects aimed at preserving human dignity where it has come under threat.

National initiatives usually focus on the needs of a specific country and its society. These include support for low-income families, development of medicine and rehabilitation, help for hospitals, treatment for children and adults, educational reforms, employment programs, support for elderly people, social adaptation, development of sport, culture and science, animal protection, restoration of infrastructure, psychological support programs, as well as initiatives that strengthen society from within.

City projects are especially close to those who want to see results right next to them. These include improving streets, parks and public spaces, greening, planting trees, supporting schools and children’s institutions, helping local hospitals, cultural events, neighborhood initiatives, help for lonely people, environmental campaigns, support for shelters, local educational programs, creating accessible environments, and restoring courtyards, public areas and places where people’s everyday life unfolds.

There are also projects that cannot be measured by numbers alone. These are initiatives connected with humanity: attention to lonely people, support for those going through difficult periods, mentoring, care, accompaniment, and creating a sense of being needed, respected and believed in. Sometimes such actions change a human life more than any material resources.

There is no more or less important level of participation. There is only the path that, at this moment, is closer to your experience, capabilities, inner response and desire to be useful.
