DISCOVER THE LEVEL THAT IS CLOSEST TO YOU

The desire to help people, society or the world can take thousands of different forms. For some, it is supporting children; for others, caring for animals; for others, taking part in environmental initiatives, educational programs, medical projects or helping those who find themselves in difficult life situations. But the wider the choice becomes, the more often the questions arise: where to look, whom to trust, and where to start?

This section was created for exactly that purpose. Here we gather different areas of charity, social initiatives, projects and organizations from around the world, to show that there are far more opportunities to make a meaningful contribution than it might seem at first glance.

We do not make the choice for you, and we do not offer promises in place of facts. Our task is to help you learn more, see the options available, and approach your own decision with greater confidence and awareness.

This section may feature initiatives of all sizes and kinds: international programs, national projects, city organizations, local communities and individual social initiatives. Some work in several countries at once, while others help a specific region, city or even a small group of people. Each format matters in its own way.

The forms of help can be very different. It may be taking part in projects that provide people with clean water and build wells in dry regions. It may be supporting educational programs in remote corners of the planet. It may be helping to purchase ambulances, medical or repair equipment, providing food to low-income families, assisting elderly people, recovering after crises, running environmental campaigns, cultural initiatives, social adaptation programs and much more.

Our goal is to show you how diverse the path of helping can be. That is why this section may gather not only projects themselves, but also organizations, people, companies, foundations, communities and grassroots groups that are already active in these areas and may serve as a guide or a starting point for someone.

Perhaps you will find here exactly the path you have long been looking for. Perhaps you will be inspired by someone else’s example and create your own initiative. Perhaps you will use the information you find as a basis for an independent choice. We believe it is already important that a person gets the chance to see more.

Charity Guide is a volunteer information platform. We do not collect donations, do not act as an intermediary in transferring funds, and do not earn money from providing open data. Our task is to organize information, make it more accessible, and help people find their way in the large and complex world of charity.

We understand that in any field where trust and money are involved, dishonest practices may exist. That is why we pay attention to collecting data from open sources, keeping information up to date, requests for additional information, and tools for reviewing digital footprints. This is not a guarantee of anyone’s flawlessness and does not replace the user’s own decision, but it allows you to learn considerably more before making your own choice.

The decision always remains with you. Our role is to help make this choice more informed, calm and conscious.
